Nenovo is surrounded by several areas covered with century old beech and oak forests and fertile arable land and pastures.

The summer is cool, the autumn-rainy, the winter - cold, with plenty of snowfalls and the spring - sunny. Altitude - 280 m. Population - 59 people. The former name of the village used to be Lenovo.

Anthropology research is in process to prove the theory that the local people are probably direct descendants of the founders of the First Bulgarian State. It is known that the village was settled by seven clans back in 1595.
A road used to pass through Boaza area (which in Bulgarian means mountain pass) and above it there was a rock monastery and a magnificent waterfall (named Svata). In the past the waterfall used to provide power for two watermills and a fulling-mill. The waters then used to water the wonderful vegetable gardens and orchards surrounding the village.

In the village there is a big water fountain with clear spring water, a food shop. A church has been preserved, as well. The roads are in a good condition. In the past Nenovo used to be one of the most lively villages in the area. Nowadays the village is almost unpopulated but has kept its charm and beauty. It is surrounded by unique nature, dense century-old forests, rocky hills, small waterfalls, clear water-spring..
The traditional occupation of the locals used to be farming (wheat, barley, maize, sunflower) and stock-breeding (cattle, sheep, goats, swine). Bee-keeping is well-developed, as well.

There are three rock monasteries in an immediate proximity to the village. Two of them are located some 3 km north to Nenovo. The first one has nine cells and is located in Sokolski Rid area, and the second one - with 15 cells is situated in Nenovski Boaz area. Some paintings are preserved in some of the cells - of human masks and a horseman. North to Nenovo, near the village of Nevsha and the highway lies the largest monastery, with 40 cells. At the foundations there is a great number of crosses and animal figures to be seen carved in the rocks.
