Mihalkovo is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Devin Municipality, Smolyan region.

Situated 30 km south from the town of Devin, 48 km northwest from the resort Pamporovo, 52 km northeast from the town of Batak, nearly 63 km northwest from the town of Smolyan and 183 km southeast from the city of Sofia.
Through the village passes the road to the town of Devin. There is regular bus transport to and from the village.

Mihalkovo Village is located in the southwestern part of the Rhodopes mountain, in the middle reaches of Vacha river at 717 m above sea level. The permanent population is about 300 people.

The mountain climate is characterized by mild winter and cool summer with a large number of sunny days.

The village has a town hall, library, health service and shop. There is cable TV, Internet and coverage of all mobile operators. Guests of the village can stay in the villas of Eco Farm complex, which also has a pool and a chapel "St. George". One general practitioner and one dentist take care for residents in Mihalkovo. Nearest kindergarten, school and hospital are located in the town of Devin.

The development of the village Mihalkovo is closely linked to the close proximity of the dam "Vacha". In 2004 started a project to build Hydrohub "Tsankov stone", it is part of the National Strategy for Energy Development till 2010 and was the first joint project between Bulgaria and Austria.

900 m east of the village against the tide of rural river / Churekovska / springs famous mineral water "Mihalkovo". Mihalkovo mineral springs is located 2 km from the village and was discovered in 1936. Today, mineral water "Mihalkovo" successfully imposed on domestic and international markets.

Village Mihalkovo is a typical Balkan village, a unique combination of nature, wonderful spas, preserved cultural heritage and  Rhodope hospitality determine the attractiveness of the village for Bulgarian and foreign tourists.

Crystal waters of the dam "Vacha" provide opportunities for fishing and other forms of modern tourism, and the presence of mineral springs, determines opportunities for development of balneology.

The area is rich in religious temples - chapels "St. George", "Virgin Mary" and others.

Mihalkovo village is the starting point for many hiking trails and routes. These routes are: Mihalkovo village - Churekovo village - hut "Persenk" - Wonderful Bridges; Mihalkovo village- Churekovo village- "Persenk" hut- "Zdravets" hut -  "Modur" hut, Izgrev hut, resort Pamporovo and more.
