Malko Vranovo is a village in Northern Bulgaria. It is part of Slivo pole Municipality, Ruse Region.
It is 37 km east from the centre of Ruse, 14 km in the same direction from town of Slivo pole, 90 km south-west from town of Silistra, 187 km north-west from town of Varna and 340 km north-east from city of Sofia.
Regular bus transportation to town of Ruse and the neighbouring villages.
The village spreads out the eastern part of the Danube plain, on about 50 m above the sea level. It is about 12 km away of Danube River. The relief is plain with forest massifs. The climate is humid continental with cold winter and dry, hot summer.
Malko Vranovo is with population of about 1010 people. Electricity, water and communication equipment are provided. There is a town-hall, a post office, a kindergarten, a community centre with a library, a doctor, an orthodox church, a mosque and commercial areas. The nearest elementary school is in the neighbouring village of Golyamo Vranovo (4 km).
The main means of living is agriculture - corn, wheat, lucerne, sun-flower, etc.
Place of interest in the alternative tourism sphere is 'Kalimok-Brashlen' protected territory. The rich variety of animals has been preserved during the years. There are 230 bird species (58% of the bird species in Bulgaria), reptiles, amphibians, mammals, rear and protected animals registered in the Bulgarian Red Book.
Danube River is about 12 km away of the settlement. The fishermen may catch sheat-fish, carp, zander, perch, northern pike, etc.
