Lyulin is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Pernik municipality, Pernik region

In Bulgaria there are two more places that are with the same name - Lyulin quarter in the capital Sofia and the village of Lyulin in Straldzha municipality, Yambol region

It is 11 km northeast of the town of Pernik and 26 km southwest of the capital Sofia. The neighboring villages are Divotino 4 km west and Golemo Buchino 4 km southeast. 

It is situated in mountain region at the foot of Lyulin mountain and its altitude is 860 m. The climate is temperate and is characterized by early spring, warm summer and cold winter. In the area fogs fall often.

Bus transportation connects the village with the other settlements. The is direct route taxi to Sofia. There are constructed water and electricity systems and also internet connection.

The permanent population is about 797 people.

In the village of Lyulin are functioning town hall, community center, primary school, shops and restaurants. Here is working a dentist. In the neighboring village of Divotino there is GP. The nearest specialized medical centers are found on the territory of the town of Pleven where there also is kindergarten. 

The Railovski monastery "St Nickolay" is located about one kilometer from the village - it dates back to the XI century. The old church is also interesting to be seen. Now new temple is under construction. 

Lyulin mountain is wonderful place for tourism with excellent routes and clean nature. If you want to go on an excursion visit Duhlata cave which is about 18 away. 

The people who enjoy fishing could enjoy the good conditions that Studena dam offers - just 4 km from the village.
