Lipintsi is a village in West Bulgaria. It is located in Dragoman, Sofia region.

It is 20 km northwest from the town of Dragoman and 62 km in the same direction from the capital Sofia. It is just to the border with Serbia.

The village is in mountain region and its altitude is about 599 m. The climate is temperate. The climate is temperate continental. Summers are hot and winters are cool as autumn comes earlier than in other parts of the country.

The permanent population is about 3 people.

According to the Nyoy agreement large part of the Lipintsi land became part of Serbian kingdom and here was constructed border post.

The nearest medical center as well as schools and kindergartens are on the territory of the municipality. Specialized hospitals are working in the capital - Sofia.

 

Tourism and landmarks

Temnata dupka cave is natural landmark that the tourist can visit and is located just one kilometer from the village. It is 425 m long and in it there are different cave rock formations stalactites, stalagmites, partitions, small lakes, and water wells, stone lillies and formations. It is declared natural landmark.

Dragoman marsh - it is the only in Bulgaria with karst origin, which gives it special conservation concern.
Situated in a large valley surrounded by limestone hills, an area of 400 hectares.
It was declared a nature reserve, part of the ornithological importance of place - Rayanovski wet meadows.
Swamp is located in the path of migrating birds Via Aristotelis, they stop here in the rich marsh vegetation to relax before you fly again.
