Leyarovo is a village in southesatern Bulgaria. It is part of Straldja municipality, Yambol region.
The village is situated 26 km northeast of Elhovo, 35 km southeast of Yambol, 40 km south of Straldja and 40 km west of Sredets. Tundja River flows some 22 km to the east from the village.
The climate is transitional-continental. It is characterized by warm summers and mild winters. The average annual temperature is 12 º C, average January is 0,6 - 1,2 º C and the mean July from 22.5 to 23 º C.
Local economy is characterized by a predominant share of agriculture. Priority sectors developed here are agriculture and livestock, and the natural conditions are favorable for pasture farming and beekeeping.
The village has electricity and water. There is a regular bus service to neighboring towns and villages. It has a town hall, a community center, a library, a grocery store, a pub. The closest school and medical service are in the neighbouring village of Kamenets which is only 6 km away. There are two general practitioners and a dentist.
In the region there are opportunities for practicing mountain, nature, wine, history, culture and spa tourism.
It is expected the neighboring village of Alexandrovo to be transformed into a resort village. According to an agreement already signed till 2015, there is going to be a construction of golf courses, five star hotel, residential areas, spa and wellness center. The existence of a complex of this kind in the region will ensure detection of many jobs.
Near the village of Stefan Karadjovo there are mineral springs, which have proven medicinal properties similar to those of water at Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic and Kislovodsk in Russia. Mineral water in Steffan Karadjovo is recommended for the treatment of cardiovascular, urological, gastrointestinal and endocrine disorders.
The area Manastircheto, near the village Stroyno, is a vast meadow over 20 ancient trees with a source of drinking water, a small church, mainly renovated. The place is suitable for a short summer holiday.
About 3-4 km from the village are found the remains of a medieval castle.
The forest near the village is a popular place for hunting by the locals, it has a variety of game - wild boar, jackals, various birds.
