Krastatitsa is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Banite Municipality, Smolyan region.
It is about 8 km northwest from the regional center village of Banite, approximately 48 kilometers northeast from the town of Smolyan and 250 km southeast from the city of Sofia. Davidkovo village is located 11 km northeast.
There is regular bus transport from the town of Smolyan.
Located in the Western Rhodopes at an altitude of 1075 meters. The climate is characterized by cool summers and moderately cold and sunny winter.
There are about 80 people.
The village has a town hall and general store. Mobile operators have coverage.
Primary school, kindergarten, health center and church can be found in Davidkovo village. The nearest hospital is in the town of Smolyan.
SIGHTSEEING AND ATTRACTIONS
The village has a place to camp and lovers of riding can find good routes for cross country and mountain biking.
Malka Arda River offers conditions for trout fishing.
In the village of Banite you can indulge in spa procedures and enjoy the beach with healing mineral pools.
One of the most popular tourist destination in the Rhodopes is "Devil's Bridge". The bridge is part of an ancient road that was used during the Middle Ages. It is 23 km east of Krastatitsa.
The village has a guest house - a beautiful and peaceful place for rural tourism, with preserved comfort and artistry of the old rural life.
