Kralev dol is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Pernik, Pernik region

It is 13 km southeast of the Pernik's downtown, 24 km east of Radomir, 27 km in the same direction away from Sofia

The permanent population is about 660 people.

It is located in mountain area and its altitude is 795 m.
It falls in temperate climate zone. The spring comes late in the beginning of March in the end of April. The summer is not hot. The winter comes earlier than in the other parts of the country.

The village is well-maintained with good infrastructure. There is constructed electricity installation and partially built water system, all mobile operators have coverage, automatic telephone exchange.
Here functions community center "Otez Paisii". The nearest schools and medical assistance you can find in Pernik.
Regular bus transportation connects it to the other settlements in the region /bus line №19/. In proximity passes European Road E79 /Sofia - Kulata/ which is part of Struma highway that connects Bulgaria with Greece.

Tourism and landmarks

The nature here is very beautiful. There are conditions for ecological tourism and excursions. 

The botanical reserve Ostritsa is set on the slopes of Ostitsa peak in Golo bardo mountain which separates the Pernik from the Radomir hollow. This is one of the oldest reserves in Bulgaria. In 1943 it is declared natural park so its unique relief and rare and precious species of plants could be preserved. 
Only here grows the Vitosha tulip - protected plant which grows on altitude of 1500-2000 meters on humid meadows. It is the symbol of Vitosha mountain. 

Great opportunities for hunting tourism and relaxation are created by the hunting ground "Vitoshko" where works the state breeding station Vitoshko - Studena with hatchery for mountain trout. 

Studena dam is situated near the village and from it begins Struma river. It falls within the boundaries of the natural reserve "Vitoshko" and it is the main water source for Pernik and the region. For that the fishing and the visiting are forbidden in the water supply zone - the village of Studena.
