Village of Kozhari

Kozhari is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Borino Municipality, Smolyan region.
It is about 27 km southeast from the municipal center - village of Borino, 31 km southwest from Trigrad, about 36 km south from the town of Devin, about 70 km southwest from the town of Smolyan and 235 southeast from the city of Sofia.
The village is connected by bus with the municipal center and other towns in the region.
Kozhari Village is located at 1360 m altitude. The permanent population is only about 100 people.
The climate is continental, characterized by lower summer temperatures and heavy rainfalls and snow cover remains relatively long.
The village has a town hall, church and shop. There is coverage of all mobile operators. Fully electrified and water supply. Health care is in the hands of a GP from the village of Borino. Nearest schools and hospitals are located in the town of Devin.
Kozhari has beautiful scenery, it is an attractive place for relaxation from the tension of the big city. Specially for tourists ecotrails were made. On the way there are spots for recreation and entertainment of visitors.
The region has diverse natural beauty and attractions. Among them are Yagodinska cave, Buynovsko Gorge, "Devil's Throat", Trigrad Gorge.
The biggest and most popular ski resort in Bulgaria, Pamporovo is situated about 59 km away.
