Kovachite is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Sliven Municipality, Sliven region.

It is located 17 km southwest from the town of Sliven, 25 km northeast from the town of Nova Zagora, 33 km northwest from the town of Yambol and 293 km southeast from the city of Sofia.
There is a convenient bus service to the town of Sliven.

It is situated on the eastern slopes of Surnena forest, 168 meters above sea level. The climate is temperate continental with Mediterranean influence. Characterized by brief and without snow winters and cool summers.

The permanent population is about 840 people. Main occupation is the production of cereals, fruits and vegetables.

Kovachite has a good infrastructure. There is a town hall, church, community center, a kindergarten, primary school, pharmacy and four supermarkets, shop for industrial goods, two ovens for snacks and pasta restaurants. There is mobile phone coverage, Internet and cable TV. The village has a health service with three dentists and a GP.
The nearest school and hospital are located in the town of Sliven.

Tourism

In the land of the neighboring village Zlati voivoda / 6 km / are situated Sliven Mineral Baths. Resort with medicinal mineral springs and scenic nature.

In Sliven village guests can visit: church "St. Sofia", church "St. Mary", the History Museum, the Ethnographic Museum, the House - Museum Hadzhi Dimitar.

Area Karandila is located in the northeast part of Sliven, among ancient forests. There is situated the National Park "Blue Rocks" with an area of 11,380 hectares, it has many interesting rock formations.
