Kosacha is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Kovachevtsi municipality, Pernik region.
It is 5 km east of Kovachevtsi village and 22 km west of Pernik. Kalishte village is 14 km south and the village of Lobosh is 13 km south. The capital Sofia is 50 km west.
Bus transportation connects it the other settlements. The infrastructure in the village is good.
It is located in mountain area and its altitude is 822 m. The climate is temperate with hot summers and cold winters. Its often foggy.
The permanent population is about 222 people.
Kosacha village consists of the following neighborhoods - Tyutyundzhiiska, Polyana, Domishlyarska, Evreiska and Velichkova that are situated in the surrounding hills.
There work town hall, shop, community center and church. The nearest school is in Kalishte village, the nearest kindergarten is in Lobosh village. GPs owrk in Kovachevtsi and Kalishte. Medical assistance you get in Pernik.
The church "St. Archangel Michail" is constructed in 1865 and in 2011 is renovated. You should also visit the Radibosh monastery "St. Troitsa" which is just 3 km away.
Pchelina dam is situated in proximity and is excellent place for fishing and relaxation in the nature. On the rocks at the shore there is chapel.
