Village of Konyovo

Konyovo is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Nova Zagora Municipality, Sliven region.
It is about 15 km northwest from the town of Nova Zagora, about 27 km southwest from the town of Sliven, 133 km south from the city of Burgas and 283 km southeast from the city of Sofia.
There are regular bus and railway service in the village.
It is situated at 53 m altitude. The permanent population is about 900 inhabitants.
The climate is temperate-continental. Winter is mild and dry, relatively hot summer. More heavy rain is in the autumn and spring.
The village has a well developed infrastructure, there is a town hall, primary school and kindergarten. In the library has an internet room and a large pool of scientific and artistic children's literature. There is a football stadium. In Konyovo operate two shops and several production companies. The church "St. Archangel Michael" was built in 1886.
Health in the village was taken over by three dentists and a doctor. The nearest hospital is in the town of Nova Zagora.
Tourism
- In the village you can see the Roman stone tower and several Thracian mounds.
- The spoil "Karapelit" has a large summer forest of oak.
- No more than thirty kilometers away is the third largest dam in Bulgaria - Zhrebchevo, which has many branches with comfortable fishing seats.
- Nearby is Sliven mineral baths with good material and technical base - mineral baths, balneotherapy sanatoriums, rest homes, hotels and swimming pool.
