Komshtitsa is a village in West Bulgaria. It is located in Godech municipality, Sofia region.
It is located the mountain valley of Gorni visok that is part of southwestern part of Stara planina mountain in proximity Kom peak and its altitude is 920 m. The climate is temperate. The summer is hot while the winter is cool. The amount of precipitation is little.
There is water system and electricity system, the streets are partially asphalted. The mobile operators have coverage.
The permanent population is about 67 people.
Here work store and dairy farm. The nearest medical center, schools and kindergartens are in the town of Slivnitsa.
Komshtitsa river flows above the village and is very nice place for excursions and the people who enjoy fishing can take advantage and go catch Balkan trout.
The church "St Troitsa" is declared national monument of culture. It is painted by masters from the Samokovskata school and in there is unique iconostasis. Its belfry was renewed in 2008.
North of the village is located Kom peak. The view is very beautiful, there goes the canyon of Visochitsa river and route to the peak.
Natural landmark in the municipality is Aldomirovskoto marsh in which grows snowflake. It is protected area and here are seen many rare plant species and water birds. The area is 129,40 hectars.
