Karpachevo is a village in the municipality Letnitsa, Lovech region.
It is situated in the Danube plain, on about 380 m altitude.
The population numbers about 120 people.
The village benefits with regular bus transport to Sevlievo, Lovech, Gabrovo and Letnitsa.
Karpachevo has fully constructed electrical and water supply systems. All mobile operators have coverage, there are internet and cable TV. The village comprises with shops, restaurants, cafes, guest houses, a community center. Nearest nursery is located in the village of Krushuna and the village of Gorsko Slivovo, the nearest school - in the city of Letnitsa. Medical care is covered by the Hospital for Active Treatment in Lovech.
The village is the birthplace of the Bulgarian poet and journalist Hristo Karpachev. That is why it bears his name. At the village tourists can see his house - museum and a monument, built in his honor which is situated n the center.
5 km north-west is the natural landmark Maarata in the village Krushuna. It includes a huge rock, river Maarata, water forming phenomenal karst waterfall 15 meters-the largest in the country's water travertine cascade with many thresholds, water basins, vegetation and rocks.
Another interesting destination in the region is cave of Devetaki-one of the largest and most impressive caves in the country, situated on the banks of the Osam River, about 25 km from Karpachevo.
