Kamenets is a village in Southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in the municipality Straldzha, Yambol Region.
It is 31 km southeast of Yambol, 45 km south of Straldzha and 78 km southwest of Burgas. A great advantage is proximity of the village Kamenets to Yambol.
The climate is transitional - continental. It is characterized by warm summers and mild winters. The average annual temperature is 12 º C, while average January is 0,6 - 1,2 º C and July - average 22.5 to 23 º C. The average annual rainfall is about 530-540 mm / sq.m. Snow is unstable. Prevailing winds are from the east - north and south - southeast.
The population is approximately 400 people.
Local economy is characterized by a predominant share of agriculture. As priority sectors to develop agriculture and farming. Found deposits for extraction of aggregates for construction. There is a going concern for the production of quicklime.
