Kalenik is a village in the municipality of Vidin , Vidin region.
It is located about 18 km west of Vidin, about 22 km northeast of the town of Kula. The distance to the capital city Sofia is about 210 km.
The climate is characterized by cold and windy winter, while summer is hot. The average altitude is 223 m.
