Izgrev is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Nedelino Municipality, Smolyan region.
In Bulgaria there are seven villages with the same name in (Elhovo Municipality) Yambol region, (Blagoevgrad Municipality) Blagoevgrad region, (Tsarevo Municipality) Bourgas region, (Suvorovo Municipality) Varna region, (Levski Municipality) Pleven region, (Sliven Municipality) Sliven region, (Venets Municipality) Shumen region.
It is about 9 km northeast from the town of Nedelino, about 22 km southwest from the town of Ardino, 57 km southeast from the town of Smolyan and 283 km southeast from the city of Sofia.
There is regular bus transport to and from the town of Nedelino.
Situated at the foot of Mount Alada, at 800 m altitude. The climate is continental with a strong influence of the Mediterranean. Winter is mild and snowy, summer is cool and moist, and the autumn - long and warm.
The permanent population is about 200 people.
The village has a town hall, community center and cinema, kindergarten, elementary school, equipped medical center. There is a library, two shops, two bars and a disco. The nearest hospital is located in the town of Ardino.
