Ivancha is a village in the municipality of Polski Trambesh, Veliko Tarnovo region.

In Bulgaria there is another village which has the same name - in the Municipality Popovo, Targovishte region.

It is located 10 km southwest of the town of Polski Trambesh, 35 km north from Veliko Tarnovo, 30 km northeast of Pavlikeni and about 245 km in the same direction from Sofia.

It is situated in the Danube valley, at an altitude of 50 to 100 meters, north of the village runs Elia River, a tributary of the River Yantra. The climate is characterized by warm summers and cold winters.

The population is about 450 people. Ivancha has bus connects with neighboring settlements.

The village has completely built, electricity and water supply systems. There is a post office, library, kindergarten, shops, restaurant and shop. Nearest schools and hospitals are located in the town of Polski Trambesh.


Ivancha's guests can visit the following sites:

  • The church "St. George", built in 1874
  • A monument which was built in 2007 in honor of those who died in wars villagers
  • In Polish Trambesh are mineral springs whose water has magical healing properties and historical museum presenting exhibits that trace bit in the area.
