Gurmazovo is a village in Western Bulgaria. Located in Bojurishte Municipality,Sofia District.

It is located 3 km southwest of the town of Bozhurishte, 17 km northwest of downtown Sofia, 42 km northeast from Pernik, 21 km southeast of the town Slivnitsa, 14 km southwest of Kostinbrod and 46 km southeast of Kalotina border with Serbia. 

The population is approximately 320 people. 
 

Gurmazovo is located in a hilly area between the Sofia field and Lyulin Mountain at an altitude of 604 m. 
The climate is temperate. Winters are mild with average monthly temperature of about 2 C, while summer is warm with average monthly temperatures around 21 C. 
 
Gurmazovo is well developed village, electricity, water and telephone network. Partially built sewers. 
There are town hall, library and shops. In 2008 was built Sheltered Home Together, which houses youth who have grown up without parental care. 
Educational and health facilities have in the municipal center Bozhurishte. 

Located about 3 km from the main road Sofia-Kalotina and about 8 km from the ring road of Sofia. 
To the settlement travel route taxis. In the municipal town Bojurishte there is regular bus and train transport to Sofia. 
Because of being close to the ring road of Sofia, the future Lyulin motorway and operational railway and the availability of land, the area becomes more attractive for investment. 


TOURISM 


The hilly terrain and suitable climatic conditions, combined with the proximity of the mountains Vitosha and Lyulin make the area suitable for growing herbs and ecotourism. The area of the municipality Bojurishte was named one of the cleanest areas in the country environmentally.
