Gumoshnik is a village in the municipality of Troyan, Lovech region.
It is situated 20 km northeast of the town of Troyan, 35 km southeast of Lovech and 170 km northeast of Sofia.
The village is situated at an altitude of 629 meters, near the River Vidima.
The population numbers about 160 people. Bus connects the village with Troyan and other cities.
In Gumoshnik there are a church, school, community center with a youth club and commercial areas. The nearest school is located in the village Debnevo / 9 km /, and the closest kindergartens and hospitals are located in Troyan.
Church "St. Nicholas Summer" was built more than 170 years. It can be seen and remarkable iconostasis and carving. In the churchyard is a monument dedicated to those killed in the sinking of the Titanic and other - in honor of Memorial Gumoshnik residents.
Monastery school was founded in 1829. and preserved only in Lovech District. On the first floor of the monastery school is arranged museum which presents the history of the settlement.
Castle "Fortress" is located in the village Debnevo. It found artifacts from the Neolithic time / 5000-1500 BC / Byzantine coins and jewelry and more. Today, artefacts can be seen in the museum of Debnevo the National History Museum in the capital.
The area "Luka" is known as a place for sunbathing and swimming. Every year and held horse races in July.
11 km from the village is the Troyan monastery, "Assumption".
Vidima River offers opportunities for development of fishing tourism.
