Grashtitsa is a village in South Bulgaria. It is situated in Smolyan municipality, Smolyan region.

It is 20 km northwest of the town of Smolyan, 10 km southwest of Pamporovo resort and 23 km in the same direction from the town of Chepelare and 231 km from the capital Sofia. The neighboring villages of Stoikite and Shiroka laka are 4 km east and 11 km northwest.

It is situated at the heart of Rhodopi mountain and its altitude is about 1000 m. The winter is mild and snowy, the summer is cool and with lots of precipitation, the fall is long and warm.

Here are living about 20 people.

The village is with community center and store. The nearest schools and kindergartens are in the town of Shiroka laka, the nearest hospital is the regional center the town of Smolyan.

Tourism and landmarks

In the village of Shiroka laka you can see authentic Rhodopa houses as Zgurovskata, Uchikovskata and Grigorovskata houses.
Another landmark is the constructed accoring to the legend just for 38 days in 1834 church St Bogoroditsa. The iconostasis in it is with unique style.

The village of Stoykite is one of the first ski centers in Rhodopa mountain. The beginners in skiing can choose to easy slope in the center of the village that is equipped with lift. The other slope is Cherni vrah near the area Enicharsko that is equipped with lift and wardrobe.

In the town of Smolyan the tourists can visit the History Museum, Planetarium of Smolyan, Rhodope Drama Theatre, "St. Vissarion "Monument of Orpheus and Eurydice; Rozhen Observatory.
