Govedartsi is a village in the municipality of Samokov municipality, Sofia region.
The main occupations are farming, forestry, farming so called Samokov potatoes, skiing, mountaineering and fishing. In the Black Iskar may be fished trout. Recently Govedartsi becoming one of the most popular places of invenstitori. Brave relief above the village makes it memorable for all its visitors.
Above the valley is Malyovitsa and village is one of the starting points for reaching it. From Govedartsi start routes to huts Vada, Mechit Chalet, Chalet Hunting and mountain hut and school Malyovitsa.
From hut Vada can one can reach Seven Lakes hut.
In the area Nadaritsa there are remains of an ancient settlement dating from Roman times. In localities Tapankovitsa, Mechkaritsa and springs preserved historical monuments - churches, monasteries and chapels.
The resort village is the starting point for routes in Rila to: Urdina lakes, the Seven Rila Lakes, Rila Monastery, Malyovitsa and others.
2 km southwest of Samokov is situated tourist facilities of electrified bungalows.
In the winter around the village offer good conditions for skiing.
The proximity of the village to the largest mountain resort in Bulgaria - Borovets (15 km) Mountain tourist center Malyovitsa /13 km/ Mineral spa center - Belchin bani /25 km/, Iskar dam /30 km/, spacious forests, green meadows, beautiful and close to ski slopes attract many lovers of the mountain.
