Glufishevo is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Sliven Municipality, Sliven region.
Situated 17 km south from the town of Sliven, some 24 km northwest from the town of Yambol, 34 km northeast from the town of Nova Zagora and 303 km east from the city of Sofia.
There is regular bus transport to the town of Sliven.
Glufishevo is situated at an altitude of 144 meters. The climate is characterized by mild winter and relatively hot summer.
The permanent population is about 640 people.
The village has a town hall, community center, primary school, general store and cafe, air sports club. There is coverage of mobile operators, Internet and cable TV. In the village there are two general practitioners. Nearest kindergarten, middle school and hospital you can find in the town of Sliven.
Sightseeing and Tourism
Glufishevskite hills with a height of 100-130 m and a length of about 2 km offer excellent conditions for paragliding and parachuting. Landing on the fields in front of them.
At about 15 km northwest is located the resort Sliven Mineral Baths. The healing mineral water and picturesque scenery, make the resort a favorite place for family vacations and SPA.
In Sliven village guests can visit: Temple "St. Sofia", church "St. Bogoroditsa", Historical Museum, the Ethnographic Museum, House - museum Hadzhi Dimitar.
The area "Karandila" is located in the northeastern part of Sliven, among old-growth forests. There is situated the Nature Park "Sinite kamani" - area of 11,380 hectares, with many interesting rock formations.
