A legend has it that in the past the people from the nearby village of Enevo were put in a very difficult situation - the winter was severe and there was not enough food. In order to survive they went to look for help in the nearby villages. Only the people of Geshanovo helped them and provided shelter and food to their neighbours until the spring arrived.
