Galiche is a village in Southwestern Bulgaria. It is a part of Byala Slatina municipality, Vratsa region.

It is located 14 km northwest of Byala Slatina, 55 km northeast of Vratsa and 160 km north of the capital - city of Sofia.

Regular bus transport connects the settlement with towns of Byala Slatina and Vratsa.

Galiche is situated in a valley, on the bank of Skut river, at an altitude of about 132 m. Climate is temperate-continental, characterized by hot and dry summers, and rainfall during the remaining seasons.

The population is about 1960 people.

The village has developed infrastructure, asphalted roads, streets lighting, water, sewerage system, telephone networks and coverage of mobile operators. There is a city hall, church, post office, secondary school, community center, pharmacy and shops.

Medical services for the village residents are provided by GP and dentists. The closest hospital is located in the town of Byala Slatina.

Landmarks

In 1918, in the vicinity of the village of Galiche a treasure was found , consisting of 14 silver Faller, image of a woman on horseback and rosettes - skillfully woven and gold-plated. Treasure dates from II-I century BC.

Danube River - an attractive destination for tourism and recreation - is less than 30 km away from the village of Galiche.
