Dushantsi village

Dushantsi is a village in western Bulgaria. It is located in Pirdop Municipality, Sofia District

It is 8 km east of Pirdop, about 80 km in the same direction from Sofia, 64 km southeast of Botevgrad, 105 km northwest of Plovdiv

The population is arbout 800 people. 

Located in a mountainous area at an altitude of 797 m. 
Winters are cold with average temperatures for January -1,7 ° C. Summer temperatures are high, average July temperature is 19,8 ° C. 

The village is electrified and with continuously updated infrastructure. There are water supply, communications, electricity networks and partial sewerage. The streets are paved.
Here function library and town hall. Nearest schools and health facilities in the municipal center. 
Besides car is accessible by bus. 

Tourism 


In Dushantsi two functioning churches: Church of St. Cyril and Methodius and Chapel Holy Trinity.

Dam Dushantsi is dam by the river Topolnitsa, the primary purpose industrial water supply. Located in Sredna gora mountain, 3 km from the village Dushantsi in municipality Pirdop.

The area around the dam is characterized by fresh mountain air and beautiful scenery. It is suitable for picnics, water sports and fishing. Not uncommon in July and August here one can see small tent camps set up for tourists from the capital and nearby villages. 
In winters waters of the lake are covered with thick ice and the facility is suitable for ice fishing. 

Dam Dushantsi is based on the national team canoe. By itself it has a beautiful beach hotel-restaurant, operated by a private company and sauna Finnish style. 

Is a starting place for hiking route to the station Koprivshtitsa Klimash peak (1342 m altitude) and Koprivshtitsa.
