Druzhevo is a village in West Bulgaria. It is located in Svoge municipality, Sofia region.
It is composed of a couple of neighborhoods and is situated in mountain region while its altitude is 810 m. In proximity is the gorgeous Iskar defile. The relief defines the cold winter, the cool summer and early coming fall in comparison to the other parts of the country. The climate conditions and the mountain terrain allow the development of bee keeping, raspberry, herbs and mushrooms collecting.
The permanent population is about 193 people.
Here are functioning town hall and store. The nearest kindergarten is in the village of Milanovo and in the village of Gara Lakatnik you will find school. GP works in the near village of Gara Bov (24 km south), medical assistance you can get at the centers in the municipality the town of Svoge.
In the area can be seen remains from the foundations of two Orthodox churches. One in the of the village and the other is in low mountain nullah and was set on fire by the Turks.
In its area are located Lakatnishkite rocks and the eco trail to them. There are protected area and are with the richest fauna in Bulgaria and near them is the longest and the most interesting cave Temnata dupka. In the area there are many other smaller caves as well as interesting karst formations.
The Orthodox monastery Sedemte prestola "St Bogoroditsa" is located in the beautiful valley of the small river Gabrovnitsa on the road from gara Elisayna in the Iskar defile. It is part of the list of the 100 National Tourist Sites. The road is easy to access through gara Elisayna to the Iskar defile.
In 2007 was found Vazov eco route that connects the villages Bov and Zasele. It is with new fences, bridges, night lighting installed on the rock wreath along the route. There are trash boxes, benches, gazeboes and information tables.
