Drenovo is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Kostinbrod municipality, Sofia region

In Bulgaria there is another village that carries the same name it is in Petrich municipality, Blagoevgrad region

It is 20 km north of Kostinbrod and 35 km in the same direction of Sofia. The village of Dramsha is 5 km southeast. 

Bus transportation connects it to the other settlements. 

Drenovo village is situated on the northwest slopes of Stara planina mountain and its altitude is 895 m. The climate is temperate but it is influenced by the mountain relief. It is characterized by the cold winter and cool summer. The fall comes earlier than in other parts of the country.

The permanent population is about 44 people. The locals are mainly occupied in farming, production of crops typical for the altitude, stock breeding and collecting of mushrooms. The village consists of a couple of small neighborhoods and is becoming a villa zone. 

In the village there is church "St. Bogoroditsa", tavern and a shop. The nearest schools, kindergartens, community centers, medical practices and and dentists as well as medical center are located in Kostinbrod. Hospitals you can find in Sofia. 

In proximity you can see the Iskar Defile. Around the village there are numerous caves which arouse the interest of the enthusiastic speleologists.
Drenovo attracts tourists with its fresh air and preserved nature. The area is suitable for different kinds of tourism and mountain bike. 
The neighboring village Dramsha is starting point for different mountain routes.
