Dolni Lukovit is a village in North Bulgaria. It is located in Iskar municipality, Pleven region.
It is situated in the central part of the Danubian Plain on the left shore of Iskar river and its altitude is 48 m. The climate is temperate and considerably dry. The winter is cold, the spring is warm and the summer is hot due to the flat terrain.
Regular bus transportation connects it to the other settlements.
The permanent population is about 1 971 people.
The village is well-maintained in it are functioning town hall, shops, coffee shop, pub, community center, school and kindergarten. In the medical center are working dentist and GP. In the center of the village there is small park. And in the town of Iskar there is hospital.
The proximity to Iskar river creates perfect conditions for excursions, outdoor activities and fishing.
Pleven is near and there could be visited many cultural and historical landmarks - the most popular of them is the Pleven Epopee Panorama.
The town is surrounded by green zone of about 25 000 dca that consists of the parks Kaylaka, General Lavrov, General Genetski, Grivitsa etc. which are serving as a natural filter for the air pollution and are favorite place of the locals and the tourists for taking long walks.
