Dolen is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Zlatograd Municipality, Smolyan region.

In Bulgaria there is another village with the same name in Satovcha Municipality, Blagoevgrad region.

Situated 14 km northeast from the town of Zlatograd, 40 km southeast from the town of Madan, 69 km southeast from the town of Smolyan and 315 km southeast from the capital Sofia.
The village has regular bus service.

Dolen Village is located in a mountainous area at 498 m above sea level. The permanent population is about 1,200 people. The main occupation is the extraction of stones, logging and farming.

The climate is continental-Mediterranean, characterized by mild summer and relatively mild winter.

The village has a town hall, kindergarten, elementary school, community center, mosque and shops for food and non food goods. There is cable TV, Internet and coverage of all mobile operators. In Dolen one doctor and one dentist take care for its inhabitants. The nearest hospital is located in the town of Zlatograd.
