The village of Dinkata

Dinkata is a village in Southern Bulgaria. It is in municipality Lesichovo, Pazardzhik Region.

It is situated 15 km northwest direction from the town of Pazardzhik and 12 km southwestern direction from the village of Lesichovo.

The population is about 1200 inhabitants.

The terrain is plain with average altitude of 270 m.
The climate in the area is transcontinental with a mild winter with temperatures around 1ºС, the summer is warm and dry with average temperatures of 26ºС.

The infrastructure of the village is developed and includes electricity, water system, telephones and cable TV.

“Trakia” highway is 1 km away from the settlement.

Dinkata has a medical center, police office, post office, school, kindergarten, pharmacy, shops and cafes.

There is regular bus transport that connects it with the town of Pazardzhik.

In the village are developed the breeding of pigs, cattle and poultry. Also there are very good conditions for agriculture..

 

Places of interest and tourism:

River Topolnitsa runs through the the village, the Topolnitsa dam is situated at  a distance of 27 km and it is suitable for fishing and resting.

The monastery “St. Nikola” is situated along the river Topolnitsa, at a distance of 9 km from Dinkata. A marble slab from the times of the Roman Emperor Julian Apostat is still preserved in the monastery.  The building of the cloister is totally rebuild in 1908 after the devastations by the Turkish occupiers and is still preserved till nowadays.
