Village of Dimanovo

Dimanovo is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Nedelino Municipality, Smolyan region.

Situated 13 km northeast from the town of Nedelino, 61 km southeast from the town of Smolyan, 34 km southeast from the town of Madan and 287 km southwest from Sofia.
There is regular bus transport to Nedelino.

Situated at the foot of Mount Elenka along one of its ridges and on both sides of Dimanska River, 554 m altitude. The river divides the village into two parts - "Mahalata" and "Kolibite". Distance between them is about a kilometer and a half.

The population is around 100 people. Tobacco growing is a major livelihood, village relies on the development of eco and rural tourism.

The village has a town hall and shop. There is coverage of mobile operators. The nearest hospital, kindergarten and school are located in the town of Madan.

Tourism

The main natural attractions are the surrounding ranges of the Rhodope Mountains, preserved old architecture and local folklore.

In the town of Madan you can the following attractions:

- Cave-Museum "Sharenka". This is the first cave museum in Bulgaria.
- Area "Gabata" - rock with a small cave in which were found pieces of pottery from different periods. Following the path of the rock massif leads to the Thracian mines.
- Nearby is the rock 'Rimpapa ", 50 meters high, resembling a man with a cape.
- Area "Kichikaya" a Proto-Bulgarian fortress, later conquered by the Romans. There are preserved old stone walls from the buildings and from the fortress walls.
