Delyan is a village in West Bulgaria. It is located in Bozhurishte, Sofia region.
In Bulgaria there is one other settlement that is with the same name it is in Dupnitsa municipality, Kyustendil region.
It is 20 km west from the town of Bozhurishte and 12 km northeast of the town of Breznik. The capital Sofia is 33 km east.
It is situated at the foot of Viskyar planina mountain and its altitude is 790 m.
It falls within the continental climate zone. The spring comes considerably later than in the other parts of the country in the end of March - the beginning of April. The summer is not hot. The winter comes earlier.
The main road to it is asphalted. The mobile operators have coverage. There are constructed water and electricity systems. In proximity passes the railway line from Pernik to the village of Voluyak and there is railway station for the village that is called Brigadirska slava.
The permanent population is about 21 people.
The nearest school and kindergarten are in the town of Breznik and there also you can get medical assistance. In the capital are working specialized hospitals.
The Orthodox chapel "St Bogoroditsa" was financed by the local people and built with their efforts on a hill and was finished in 2008.
The proximity to the capital creates good opportunities for development of its economy and culture.
