Chervena voda is a village situated in the central part of Northern Bulgaria. It is part of Ruse municipality, Ruse region.
It is located 16 km south from town of Ruse, 61 km south-west from town of Tutrakan, 57 km north-west from town of Razgrad and 93 km north-east from town of Svishtov.
The population is approximately 1600 people.
Chervena voda is set in the Danube plain, about 15 km away from Danube River. The sea altitude is about 108 m. The climate is humid continental and characterizes with hot summer and cold winter.
The village is with good infrastructure - water supply, electricity and telephone net are provided. Regular bus lines go to town of Vetovo and town of Ruse. Ruse is just 10 minutes away by car.
Some of the biggest European transport corridors which connect Central, Northern and Eastern Europe pass near the village.
Chervena voda comprises a town hall, a kindergarten, a community centre, a pharmacy, a dentist's cabinet, a church and a park. The nearest schools and medical centres are in town of Ruse.
Grain production and vine-growing are well-developed. Operational poultry farm works in the surroundings of the village.
St Archangel Michael is a monument of culture built in 1862.
Chervena voda is situated near the Rock monastery of Basarbovo (16 km away) and the Rock churches of Ivanovo (25 km away). The Rock churches of Ivanovo are included in the List of World Culture and Nature Inheritance under the protection of UNESCO.
