Chereshovitsa is a village in northwestern Bulgaria. It is located in Berkovitsa municipality, Montana District.
The settlement lies in the foothills of the Balkan Mountains, about 30 km northwest of Berkovitsa, about 32 km southwest of Montana and approximately 110 km northwest of Sofia.
The terrain is mountainous covered with many oak and beech forests, the altitude is about 550 m. The climate is temperate, characterized by snowy winters, hot summers and rainy springs and autumns.
The village is small but has well maintained infrastructure. There are electricity and water systems and mobile coverage. The streets are partially asphalted and lighted. Regular buses drives the residents to the municipality and district centers, and to the villages around.
The population of Chereshovitsa is about 70 people.
The village has a church, a pub and a store. In the village of Borovtsi /19 km northeast/ is the nearest kindergarten while the closest school is in Berkovitsa. There is a general practitioner in Gaganitsa village /11 km northeast/ while specialized hospital is working in the municipality center.
Chereshovitsa is divided into two by the mountain stream Brakachitsa. Actually there are several ones - they bypass or pass through the village and join their waters into the river Zlatitsa. In the summer crayfishes can be caught.
The village is attractive with fresh air, tranquility and beautiful scenery. From there start three eco tours: one leads to the hut "Zdravchenitsa" and Kom peak, the other passes through Delenata voda area and reaches Zelena glava peak, and the third goes through the village of Dalgi del /37 km east/, Kopilovtsi village /37 km northwest/, Chiprovtsi town /37 km in the same direction/ and a terminus - town of Belogradchik /74 km northeast/.

About 25 km northwest of Chereshovitsa is located the Lopushan monastery, which was declared a cultural monument, It is restored, with beautiful architecture.
In Berkovitsa guests can explore the house-museum "Ivan Vazov", the situated nearby Architectural Museum of Culture and the Clock Tower, which is a remarkable monument, built in 1762.
Ogosta dam lake is located about 20 km northeast of Chereshovitsa and offers excellent opportunities for fishing and water sports.
