Chakali is a village in northern Bulgaria. It is located in Elena Municipality, Veliko Tarnovo region.
The village is located 10 km east from the town of Еlena, about 50 km southeast from the town of Veliko Tarnovo, 330 km east from the city of Sofia. There are regular buses from the town of Elena.
Chakali is about a kilometer south from the village of Maryan and 4 km north from the village of Kostel. It is situated at an altitude of 394 meters between the rivers Burzitsa (Kostelska) and its flow Leska. The climate is characterized by cool summer, long fall, snowy and cold winter.
Chakali has community center, school and store. There is coverage of mobile operators. Guests of the village can stay in a small holiday complex with a pool and a restaurant. The nearest school and medical facilities are located in the town of Elena.
About the origin of its name there several assumptions. The first is associated with animals in the area. The second is that this was a gathering place for rebels before a battle.

In the area of Chakali there are maintained hiking trails with extremely picturesque nature. Clear mountain streams and many small dams in the vicinity are a favorite fishing spot.
