Byala is a village in the municipality of Sliven, Sliven District.
In Bulgaria there are two places which have the same name - in the municipality of Byala, Ruse region and in Byala municipality, Varna region.
It is 20 km northwest of the city of Sliven, 52 km northeast of Nova Zagora, about 320 km east of Sofia.
It is situated on the River Belenska, at an altitude of 460 m. The climate is characterized by mild winters, relatively warm summer and autumn, which is longer than spring.
The population is 1,465 people. There is a regular bus service to the village.
There are has a town hall, primary school, kindergarten, church "Holy Trinity", a community center, shops. Medical care is covered by three GPs and hospital operates in the city of Sliven.

In Sliven village guests can visit: "St. Sofia", "St. Mary", the History Museum, the Ethnographic Museum, the House - Museum Hadji Dimitar.
The area "Karandila" is located in the northeast of Sliven. There is a National Park "Blue Rocks" area of 11,380 hectares, it has many interesting rock formations.
32 km away is one of the largest spa complexes in Bulgaria, Sliven Mineral Baths.
