Buynovo is a village in South Bulgaria. It is located in Borino Municipality, Smolyan region.

There is another village with the same name in Targovishte region.

Buynovo is 23 km south from the town of Borino, 64 km west from the city of Smolyan, 222 km southeast from the capital city Sofia, and only 2 km from the Greek border.

It is located in the west part of the Rhodopi mountain, with 1410 m altitude.
The population is around 347 inhabitants.
Here the summer is with lower temperatures and more rains, and in the winter snow cover stays longer.

There is town hall, community center and primary school in the village.

In Buynovo there is a continuous year round flow of tourists from Bulgarian and foreign tourists, attracted by the unique combination of unspoiled nature, preserved traditions, rich cultural heritage and traditional Rhodope hospitality.
Available to visitors of the village are a few guesthouses and small family hotels offering authentic village atmosphere and homey.
The village offers guests and visitors many attractions and opportunities for active recreation: ski lift, hiking trails, bicycle paths, jeep safari, visiting caves, photo safaris.

Attractions

- Cave Yagodina - longest cave in the Rhodope Mountains - well laid out inside you can see all the cave formations, known in the Balkan Peninsula. Greatest interest cause very beautiful cave pearls, the formation of necessary hundreds of thousands of years.
- Haydushki dol is among the most inaccessible and beautiful canyons in the Rhodopes. Pine grows in its sheer white walls towering hundreds of feet above the wild river. It attaches particular charm of this creepy place.
- Dyavolskya most. This is a rock bridge, long 80-10 meters thick 2-3 meters and 30 meters. The rocks on which it is based are completely vertical. Nearby is the waterfall Pruskaloto.
- Peak Videnitsa - 1652 m. It was studied by Irechek.
- Cave Dyavolskoto garlo - Devil's Throat cave
- Trigrad Gorge impressing with its beauty.
- Buynovo Gorge is placed parallel to Trigradsko. With its beauty and grandeur, it stands to its neighbor.
