Village of Burevo

Burevo is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Nedelino Municipality, Smolyan region.
Situated 14 km northeast from the town of Nedelino, 62 km southeast from the town of Smolyan, 35 km east from the town of Madan and 288 km southeast from the city Sofia.
From Burevo there is a regular bus service to the town of Nedelino.
Located in a mountainous area at the foot of Mount Alada at 902 meters altitude. The population is about 110 people. Livelihood for local people are mainly growing potatoes, tobacco, cattle and industrial wood.
The climate is temperate-continental. Winter is mild, summer is cool and humid, autumn - warm.
The village has a shop. There is cable TV, Internet and mobile phone coverage. The nearest hospital, school and kindergarten are located in the town of Madan.
Sights and surroundings
From the land of Burevo springs Varbitsa river. There are a variety of fish: chub, black and white barbel, perch, bream and carp.
Village guests can stay in the town of Nedelino and see:
- Peak "St. Nedelya" 865 meters high. There was built the chapel "St. Nedelya".
- The chapel "St. Constantine and Helena", "St. Athanasius" and "St. Nedelya" - so called "Krastata forest".
In the town of Madan you can visit:
- Cave-Museum "Sharenka". This is the first cave museum in Bulgaria.
- Rock 'Rimpapa" 50 meters high, resembling a man with a cloak.
- Area "Kichikaya" a Proto-Bulgarian fortress, later conquered by the Romans.
