Bregare is a village in North Bulgaria. It is situated in Dolna Mitropoliya, Pleven region.
Bus transportation connects it to the other settlements. There are constructed electricity and water systems.
The village is located on the left shore of Iskar river and its altitude is 39 m. Its land is divided in two - hilly part and flat part. The climate in the area is temperate and is characterized by cold winter and hot summer. The amount of precipitation is little.
The permanent population is about 642 people.
In the village there are town hall, two churches one Catholic and one Orthodox, post office, kindergarten, restaurant, shop, coffee house and stadium. The nearest primary school and GPs are in the neighbouring village of Orehovitsa (6 km) and the nearest high school is in the town of Trastenik where there also is pharmacy. Specialized medical help you can get in the hospitals on the territory of Dolna Mitropoliya and Pleven.
In the area around the village you can see the ancient fortress Kaleto and ancient mortuary.
The proximity to Iskar river offers excellent conditions for fishing and excursions in the nature.
Near the village of Gigen about 15 km away is situated the ancient settlement Oescus. There the tourist can see the intriguing remains from Roman and Byzantium cities.
