Bratushkovo is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Slivnitsa municipality, Sofia region.
It is located in plain area and its altitude is 644 m. The climate is temperate. The summer is hot while the winter is cold. The amount of precipitation is little.
There are constructed water and electricity systems and the streets are partially asphalted. The mobile operators have coverage.
The permanent population is about 41 people.
In the neighboring village of Aldomirovtsi you will find stores and restaurants. The nearest schools and kindergartens are working in the municipality where you can also get medical assistance. In the capital there are specialized hospitals that take care for the people.
The name of the village can be found in old registers from 1576 and back then it was called Biratkuviche or Bratkovitsa. Later it was renamed to Bratushkovo.
Near the village is located the eponymous dam that offers great conditions for practicing of fishing.
Bratushkovski Orthodox temple "St Prophet Iliya" is situated in proximity to the village and was constructed in 1904. Later it was almost demolished. In 2003 began its renovation and the church was made into its original form. The celebration of the church is made annually on the 20-th of July.
