The village of Brani pole

 Brani pole is a village in southern Bulgaria, part of Rhodopi Municipality, Plovdiv Region.

It is situated about 2 km southern direction of Plovidov, about 7 km of the town of Kuklen, about 2 km from the town of Belashtitsa.

The population is about 2500 inhabitants.

The climate is transcontinental. The winters there are mild and has temperatures about 0°С and in the summers are warm with temperatures about 25°С.

The closeness to the town of Plovidv and the beautiful nature make this location attractive not only for living year-round but also for vacations. More and more people buy property there.

The village has well-developed infrastructure that includes roads, electricity, water main and partly sewerage installation, telephone lines and cable TV. Asphalt road leads to the main secondary road 86: Plovdiv-Asenovgrad-Smolyan-Rudozdem-Xanthi.

In the village there is a medical office, school, kindergarten and a park. Also there are shops and cafes.

 

Economy

The geographical location, natural and climatic conditions allow for the development of agriculture, representing the occupation of 80% of the population. There are companies in the tailoring industry, food sector, companies producing armored doors, for the manufacture of solar collectors for the production of plant protection.

 

Places of interest and tourism

Because of its beautiful nature the village is a favorite for eco and wine tourism, close are situated several hotels, taverns and eco-trails.

May 21 (Sv. Constantine and Elena) is a celebration of the village.

Monastery of “Sv. Georgi” is located close the village of Belashtitsa and about 3 km away from Brani Pole, where he begins the Rhodope Mountains.

In closeness to Brestnik are situated the monasteries are “Sv. George” and “Sv.Kozma and Damian”, a 30 minutes drive away lies the second largest monastery in Bulgaria - Bachkovo monastery.
