Bostina is a village in South Bulgaria. It is located in Smolyan municipality, Smolyan region.

It is located in the central part of the Rhodope Mountains, 5 km northeast of Smolyan, 242 kilometers southeast of the capital Sofia.  Resort Pamporovo, Rozhen, Haidushki meadows and Smolyan lakes are aproximately ten kilometers away.

Through the village passes main road Smolyan-Plovdiv (via Rozhen) and the way to Greece (via Zlatograd).

Situated on the banks of Byala River, at an altitude of 1170 m.

Climate is mountain with Mediterranean influence. Typical are the lower summer temperatures and heavy rainfall. Snow cover stays relatively long, autumn is warm .

The permanent population is 136 inhabitants. The main occupation of the village inhabitants is agriculture (mainly growing potatoes).

The school founded in 1865, today does not function. Nearest schools and medical facilities are located in the district town of Smolyan.

Attractions

It is famous for the many churches that it has. Although small in population,  it has one church - "St. Peter and Paul" and five chapels - "St. George", "St. Spas", "St. Iliya", "St. Nedelya" and "Sveta Troitsa".

There is monument of paratroopers who died in World War II in the village.

Bostina village boasts about with its famous pipers, and in the nearby area Rozhen periodically fairs are held singing competitions and contest involving teams from across the country.

Winter sports fans can visit one of the biggest Bulgarian resorts of Pamporovo.
