Borov dol is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Tvarditsa Municipality, Sliven region.

It is about 25 km northeast from the town of Tvarditsa, nearly 37 km northwest from the town of Sliven, 36 km north from the town of Nova Zagora and 304 km east from the city of Sofia.
There is regular bus transport to and from the village.

Borov dol is located at the foothills of the Stara planina mountain at 400 m altitude. The permanent population is about 700 people.

The climate is temperate-continental. Autumn is relatively warm and long, hot and dry summer and winter - with temporary warming.

The village has a well developed infrastructure. There is a town hall, primary school, kindergarten, soccer stadium, three grocery and non-food shops. There is cable TV, internet and mobile phone coverage. For the health of its inhabitants two GPs take care. The nearest hospital is located in the town of Tvarditsa.

Borov dol falls within the boundaries of protected areas according to Natura 2000 project.
In the area of ​​the village has a natural habitat of rare conifer yew. Rich is the variety of different types of herbs and mushrooms.
Here is one of the best - modern facilities with modern refrigeration and drying facilities for collection and storage of mushrooms and herbs.
Mine "Hadzhi Dimitar" is operating, brown coal is extracted, there are deposits of coal shale.

Each year in October through the village passes car rally "Tvarditsa" - range from the state championship. Represents phase velocity 9.91 km in length - very narrow road, only 3 meters wide, with a U-turn and fast passages, passing along the river.

Tourism and sightseeing

Towns of Tvarditsa and Sliven, situated near the village attracted the interest of tourists with their many cultural and historical sights.

In Tvarditsa you can see:

- Fortress "Gradishte" - A few kilometers from Tvarditza the ruins of the ancient Thracian fortress "Gradishte" are located. There can be seen the remains of the church from X-XII century with partially preserved fragments of frescoes.
- Church "Sveta Petka" - a cultural monument for its frescoes.
- In the area of ​​Tvarditsa are found archaeological finds from the Neolithic period. There are traces of Neolithic settlement mound with the Acropolis, coins from the time of Philip II of Macedonia and Alexander the Great, and gold coin treasure from the XI-XII century.
- "Cave Pchena" - located north from the town of Tvarditza in the "Paisii" area. The entrance of the cave is located at 1280 m altitude. The total length of the gallery is 152 meters, in the main gallery  are formed two deep precipices, and after the second gallery, at the very end of the cave stream flowing at a height of 12 m.
- North from Tvarditsa along the river in the picturesque river gorges and panoramic view of the fortress Gradishteto river has formed wonderful ensemble of flowing into each other three waterfalls located on three levels.

In the town of Sliven:

 - The main cultural attractions of the town of Sliven is the Historical Museum, where there is a permanent exhibition of masterpieces of Bulgarian art during the Renaissance.
- House of Hadzhi Dimitar is located in the southwest part of town and represents a complex of several buildings, restored in different periods.
 - Ethnographic Museum in Sliven is situated in a XIX century building with lots of interesting architecture.
-  Church "St. Dimitar ", located in the city center.
- Area "Karandila" is located in the northeast part of Sliven, including old-growth forests. There is situated the Nature Park "Sinite kamani".
