Borislavtsi is a village in southern Bulgaria and it is a part of Madzharovo municipality, Haskovo region.

It is situated 11 km northeast of Madzharovo town, 38 km southwest of Svilengrad, 45 km northwest of Ivaylovgrad, 52 km south of Harmanli and 55 km southeast of Haskovo.

The population is about 220 people.

Borislavtsi is located on the bank of Arda river. From there starts also the dam of "Ivaylovgrad". It is situated in a vast plain, decorated with picturesque and bizzare places suitable destination for holiday, entertainment, recreation and fishing.

The altitude is 123 m. Climate is transitional-continental. Winters are relatively mild, the summers are cool, but sometimes temperatures can reach quite high degrees.

The village has good infrastructure, there is a post office, a church, a medical center, regular transport, shops, pub, coberage of mobile networks.

Secondary School "Dimitar Madjarov" in Madjarovo town is the only school in the municipality. The only kindergarten "Liliana Dimitrova" is as well there.

Specialized medical help can be found in the hospital in Svilengrad.

Landmarks

In 2006 in the village was opened "Museum of History - Hristo Cholakov" which represents the lifestyle, customs, objects and tools from the establishment of the village to this day. In the museum you can see photos of archaeological sites and areas in the region, to find out about the destruction of Thracian Bulgarians, to see the mineral diversity of this extraordinary area, etc.

In Borislavtsi there is a holiday house with 15 beds, which is included in Trans-Rhodopean route for walking and cycling.

Natural resources of the region combine mountain, plain, river and lake. Biodiversity of the area is unique, in the Eastern Rhodopes can be seen over 36 species of diurnal birds of prey, black and white storks, herons and even pelicans.

"Giurgena" area, which is 4 km from Madjarovo, is the smallest protected area in the municipality, and it is of a national environment-protection importance.

The region has many archaeological and historical sites: the fortress of Perperikon, Cromlech near the village of Dolni Glavanak, "Gluhite kamani" area, the Thracian tomb near the village Mezek, villa "Armira" in Ivaylovgrad and others.
