Bogdanovo is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Nova Zagora Municipality, Sliven region.
In Bulgaria there is another village with the same name in Sredets Municipality, Burgas region.
It is located 12 km south from the town of Nova Zagora, 66 km southwest from the town of Sliven, about 480 km east from the town of Stara Zagora and 290 km southeast from Sofia.
The village is located on the road Nova Zagora - Radnevo. Bus service connects it with neighbouring towns.
It is situated 160 meters above sea level. It falls within the continental-temperate climate zone. Winters are mild and dry, relatively warm summers. Spring and autumn are rainy.
The permanent population is about 500 people.
The village has a town hall, a kindergarten, primary school, shops and cafes. There is mobile phone coverage, Internet and cable TV. In the village Dyadovo / 5 km north / you will find a General Practitioner. Nearest schools and hospital are located in the town of Nova Zagora.
TOURISM AND LANDMARKS
In the village Dyadovo near the spring Mound is located Dyadovskata mound. It is the largest in Europe. Is 18 meters high. Here are presented mainly prehistoric eras - Stone, Bronze Age. Inhabited during the early Iron Age. During the Early Byzantine period on the mound was built a small fortified village with many well-preserved city wall with towers that defended it.
Guests of the village can enjoy the rich history, cultural heritage and natural beauty of the town of Sliven: Historical Museum, the Ethnographic Museum, church "St. Dimitar ".
Area Karandila is located in the northeast part of the town. There is situated a National Park "Blue Rocks" with an area of 11,380 hectares, where there are many interesting rock formations.
