Blateshnitsa is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Zemen municipality, Pernik region.
It is 5 km southeast of the town of Zemen and 46 km southwest of the town of Pernik. The capital Sofia is 81 km northeast.
It is located in semi closed hollow at the foot of Risha mountain that is part of the Konyavskata mountain. Its altitude is 772 m. The climate is influenced by the low mountain relief and is characterized by cold winters and hot summers.
Bus transportation connects it to the town of Zemen. There are constructed water and electricity systems.
The permanent population is about 120 people.
Here are functioning mayor's vice royalty, store, community center with library and pub. The nearest GP, dentist and polyclinic are on the territory of the town of Zemen where there also work kindergarten and school. In the town of Pernik there is hospital.
The church "St prorok Iliya" in the village dates back to 1870.
The area around the village is really nice for taking long walks. There could also be seen a couple of caves "Balcharnika" (21 m), Dupcheto (15 m), Mecheto dupche (14 m), Stramolnitsa (14 m) etc.
Cultural landmark that you should visit in the area is Zhablyanski monastery "St Yoan Predtecha".
Pchelina dam is 7 km away and offers excellent conditions for relaxation, sports and recreational fishing. There are constructed entertainment complex with swimming pools and disco as well as camping places.
