Blaskovtsi

Blaskovtsi is a village in Elena municipality, Veliko Tarnovo region.
It is situated 8 kilometers northwest of Elena, 40 km southeast of Veliko Tarnovo and about 260 km east of Sofia.
The village is situated at the foot of the Elena Balkan, at an altitude of 549 meters. The climate characterized by warm summers with high rainfall and cold winters and snow from December to March.
The population outnumbers about 30 people. There is regular bus transport to and from Elena.
There are electricity and water supply systems and GSM coverage in Blaskovtsi. There are a post office, shop and pub. Nearest schools, kindergartens and hospitals are located in Elena.
The village offers great opportunities for rural and ecotourism. There are several guest houses that offer accommodation to guests of Blaskovtsi. 3 km away from the village is set the dam Yovkovtsi which offers opportunities for fishing. In the village toursists can visit the monument of those who died in the wars in the period 1912 - 1913. and the renovated church.
Tourists can also visit the town of Elena, the monastery of Kapinovo and old capital Veliko Tarnovo.
