Beden is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Devin Municipality, Smolyan region.

It is about 14 km southeast from the town of Devin, 29 km northwest from the ski-resort Pamporovo, 43 km northwest from the city of Smolyan, 213 km southeast from the city of Sofia.

Located in the Western Rhodopes, near Shirokolashka River, 1100 m altitude. The permanent population is about 400 inhabitants of mixed ethnic composition - Christians and Muslims.

The climate is mountainous with Aegean influence. It is characterized by mild winter, cool summer.

The village has a town hall, community center and store. There is coverage of all mobile operators, internet and cable TV. Available to guests are two guest houses and hotels. The village has a dentist, and the nearest school and health facilities are located in the town of Devin.

Ancient history, picturesque scenery, mild climate and preserved nature make Beden an attraction for lovers of archaeological, cultural and ecotourism. In the vicinity of the village you can see many traces of inhabitants - Thracian, Romans and others. - Remains of a Thracian sanctuary of the god Heros, remnants of a medieval monastery and the Late Antique and medieval necropolis.

Fortress "Beadnos" is relatively small and more like a feudal castle, a fortress rather than serious. The remains of it are located in the Rhodope Chernatitsa, 2 km north from the village Beden. This is a medieval Bulgarian and Byzantine fortress built before the IX century. It is a magnificent view Perelik Chernatitza valleys and Shirokolushka Vacha River to Devin and Batashka Mursalitsa mountain.

In the "Bedenski Baths" area is located habitat "Bedenski bathrooms." Mineral water is hot, with significant output, low-mineral suitable for outdoor balneological application.
