Bazovets is a village in North-west Bulgaria. It is Valchedrum Municipality, District of Montana.

There is another village with the same name in Bulgaria - in Dve Mogili Municipality, District of Ruse.

It stands about 16 km south-east of the town of Valchedrum, about 40 km north-east of the town of Montana and about 180 km north of Sofia.

The relief is flat, with altitude about 134 m. Climate is characterized with cold winters and hot summers.

There is electricity and water. There is coverage of mobile operators.

The population of Bazovets is about 130 residents, who have a town house, church, shops at their disposal, as well as regular bus transportation to the municipal center and the surrounding villages.

Medical services are provided by GP and dentist in the village of Septemvriytsi, and in the district town of Montana are the closest hospitals.

In the vicinity of the village there is a reservoir lake, which is wonderful place for walks and fishing.

South-east of Bazovets, underneath the reservoir wall there are remains of an antique village dated from the I-V century.

About 27 km south, in close proximity to the village of Gradeshnitsa is the Gradeshnishki Monastery, which was founded in the otoman period and was spiritual and cultural center of the Bulgarians in these lands. Today the monastery is functioning, but without monks. It is managed by a private in entrepreneur and is turned into a hotel.
